Debra is both an artist and oil painting conservator working for the last 40 years specialising in sixteenth and seventeenth century oil paintings.

Her passion for painting , and an interest in painting techniques and the history of figurative painting , is often reflected in her work .

“Although my work is contemporary, I am interested from my many years as a restorer of historical portraits , in the iconic world of art and it’s history. I enjoy bringing a trace of a lost story behind the painted image , a sense of layers of time “
